Human Resource Services
Human Resource Services (HRS) oversees system-wide human resource activities for the WSU community of faculty, administrative professional, classified and temporary hourly employees. HRS establishes and implements strategic, comprehensive plans, including compliance, for various component activities of Human Resources including, but not limited to: employee relations, classification/compensation, recruitment, benefits, administration disability services, labor relations, learning and organizational development, modernization/enterprise services and employee records and compliance.
Civil Rights
Compliance and Civil Rights provides training, technical guidance, and grievance procedures relating to WSU’s non-discrimination policies. A resource for the WSU community and addressing allegations of discrimination or harassment, and proactively supports the institution’s efforts to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive educational and employment environment.
Public Safety
Public Safety at WSU falls under the purview of Finance and Administration and encompasses Police, Fire and Safety Compliance, Transportation, Environmental Health and Safety, Emergency Management, and the Visitor Center.

International Student and Scholar Services
International Student and Scholar Services supports the maintenance of a visa status at the university to help ensure the success of international students and scholars in the WSU system by: providing regulatory information and guidance specific to each international student or scholar case deploying holistic support to international students and scholars supporting all university departments, colleges and services in their understanding of the intersection of immigration and academics and/or student affairs.

Environmental Health and Safety
EHS addresses: Safety Compliance (WAC 296) ; Environmental Compliance (WAC 173); Health Compliance (WAC 246). Along with administering related programs and supporting areas throughout the WSU system.
Health Compliance
The Washington State University Health Sciences Compliance division is housed under the office of Civil Rights Compliance and oversees the health science compliance efforts across the WSU system. The mission of Health Sciences Compliance is to provide the University an independent assessment of departmental polices and procedures as well as implement systemwide polices and procedures that are affected by Federal and State laws and regulations regarding health and medical practices and information.
Internal Audit
Internal Audit is a system office – reporting to the President functionally and administratively to the VP of Finance. Provides within the University an independent appraisal function that measures and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls and operating activities. Assists members of University community in the proper discharge of their responsibilities by providing analyses, appraisals, recommendations and pertinent information concerning the activities reviewed.

Research Assurances
The WSU Office of Research Assurances supports efforts to ensure research complies to legal and ethical standards, relating to safety, human subject protection, training requirements, conflict of interest policies, export controls, controlled substances, and others.
Student Affairs
Student Affairs covers a large breadth of compliance and policy activities across the WSU system. Leaders are located on each campus and work together to support these efforts.

Extension
With 39 locations throughout the state, WSU Extension is the front door to the University. Extension builds the capacity of individuals, organizations, businesses and communities, empowering them to find solutions for local issues and to improve their quality of life. Extension collaborates with communities to create a culture of life-long learning and is recognized for its accessible, learner-centered, relevant, high-quality, unbiased educational programs.
Financial Services
Financial Services at WSU is comprised of Student Financial Services under Enrollment Management as well Business and Financial Services under Finance and Administration. While separate they both play an important role in ensuring compliance on the State and Federal levels as well as coordinating applicable internal polices.

Office of the Provost
Information Technology Services
ITS leads the charge for for managing security risks to information technology assets at the University. Compliance components include data loss prevention, the improved security of system and network services, proactive risk management, and crisis and security incident management.
Office of the Registrar
The Office of the Registrar provides oversight of student records, eligibility, course catalog as well as student Veteran concerns. These all require adherence to State, Federal and WSU guidance. Along with taking the lead on FERPA compliance, works closely with other areas on policies and best practices.
