Research & Security

As a research organization, WSU must comply with federal regulations for federally funded research. One of these is NSPM-33, which requires the following (non-exhaustive list):

• Records of all international travelers: refer to BPPM 95.53 for more information. 
• Advance disclosure and authorization: WSU must implement a disclosure and authorization in advance of international travel, both of which are part of the Spend Authorization process in Workday. 
• Data and Device Security: Please visit ORSO Considerations for International Travel for additional information on data and device security prior to departure.
