This website serves as a list of primarily WSU-related reporting options, but external reporting options may also be available. This website provides basic information on reporting; WSU community members are encouraged to review the related policies and procedures for more complete reporting and grievance processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I want to report &#8230;<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__62093\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">Abuse or neglect of minors<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__62093\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<p>Medical practitioners, school personnel, employees of state and private higher education institutions, law enforcement, and any supervisor with a nonprofit or for-profit organization who have reasonable cause to believe that a child has suffered abuse or neglect must report at the first opportunity (no longer than 48 hours) to the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), or to the appropriate law enforcement agency (<a href=\"http:\/\/app.leg.wa.gov\/RCW\/default.aspx?cite=26.44.030\">RCW 26.44.030<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Reports may be made by:\n<ul>\n<li>Calling 911 for emergencies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contacting the WSU Police (Pullman campus) or the applicable campus safety\/security department (see Criminal Conduct section for local law enforcement numbers);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contacting the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dcyf.wa.gov\/safety\/report-abuse\">regional office for the DCYF<\/a>; The list below will include some general reporting options, but some of the other reporting options listed on this website may be more appropriate. For example, if an employee&#8217;s behavior is threatening, the reporting options for threatening behavior could be used instead of the general resources listed below. As another example, if an employee is engaging in fraud, waste, or ethics violations (conduct that may implicate Executive Policy 45), the reporting options described in &#8220;Misuse of WSU resources, Fraud, Waste, or Ethics violation&#8221; can be utilized. If after reviewing the reporting options, you are unsure who to contact, please reach out to Human Resource Services at <a href=\"mailto:hrs@wsu.edu\">hrs@wsu.edu<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-note\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<h4 class=\"wsu-note__title\">\n\t\t\tGeneral concerns about non-faculty employees\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\n\t\n\n<p>Employee misconduct or performance issues can be reported to the offending employee&#8217;s supervisor directly or reporters can seek assistance from Human Resource Services at <a href=\"mailto:hrs@wsu.edu\">hrs@wsu.edu<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-note\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<h4 class=\"wsu-note__title\">\n\t\t\tConcerns about faculty\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\n\t\n\n<p>Faculty misconduct or performance issues can be reported to the offending faculty&#8217;s supervisor directly or reports can be made to the <a href=\"https:\/\/provost.wsu.edu\/\">WSU Office of the Provost<\/a> at <a href=\"mailto:provosts.office@wsu.edu\">provosts.office@wsu.edu<\/a>.  WSU requires faculty to abide by the Faculty Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct Regulations described in the <a href=\"https:\/\/provost.wsu.edu\/manuals-and-forms\/\">Faculty Manual<\/a>.  Under the Faculty Manual, corrective action or disciplinary action can be sought for a variety of serious misconduct, described in detail in section II.F.3 Conduct Regulations.
